The Academy Snubs Beyonce And Jennifer Lopez At 2020 Oscars

No nominations, no ratings.

It’s been a tough awards season for Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez.

The two pop titans failed to win at the Golden Globes recently, but at least they were nominated. The Academy didn’t even consider Beyonce for her lead song in The Lion King, nor JLo for her role in Hustler.

If everything went according to plan, Beyonce could’ve scored a nod in Best Original Song with “Spirit.” JLo was expected to receive a nomination for Actress in a Supporting Role.

Here are the nominations for those categories:

ACTRESS IN A SUPPORTING ROLE
Kathy Bates, “Richard Jewell”
Laura Dern, “Marriage Story”
Scarlett Johansson, “Jojo Rabbit”
Florence Pugh, “Little Women”
Margot Robbie, “Bombshell”

ORIGINAL SONG
“I’m Standing With You,” “Breakthrough”
“Into the Unknown,” “Frozen II”
“Stand Up,” “Harriet”
“(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again,” “Rocketman”
“I Can’t Let You Throw Yourself Away,” “Toy Story 4”

Justice for Beyonce and JLo. They really do deserve more recognition. But…
